Founded in Austin

Unnanu was founded by Madhu Basu in Austin, Texas, with a simple conviction: hiring technology was broken, and AI could fix it. After two decades in IT consulting and staffing, Madhu saw firsthand how much time recruiters wasted on keyword-matching tools that missed the best candidates.

The first version of Unnanu was built around a patented contextual search algorithm that understood what a job really required, not just what words appeared in a job description. Early customers saw dramatically shorter time-to-hire and higher quality shortlists.

From that foundation, Unnanu expanded into a full platform: enterprise AI search, an applicant tracking system, a talent marketplace, a job board, and a Slack integration. Each product serves the same mission, helping the right people find each other faster.
